In the early eighties of the last century, Rock’n’Roll was striking back with acts like the Stray Cats, Matchbox, Shakin’ Stevens and so on returning to the Billbord Charts, magazines reporting about rockabilly riots, festivals took place in every bigger town, the scene was alive and well.
In the wake of that so called Rockabilly Revival five young lads from the same neighborhood
in Hohenlimburg, Germany, knowing each other since primary school, decided to start their own band.
It was early February of 1984, as The Lennerockers were officially founded. The first gig was played
three weeks later on  February 24th in 1984.
The young Rock’n’Roll scene in Germany provided a good start and after two years of touring The Lennerockers felt ready to record their debut-album "Keep Cool", released on May 1st in 1986.
This step enabled them to spread their music even further and The Lennerockers started to tear up the borders touring other countries as well. The first gig outside of Germany took place in the legendary "Cruise Inn" in Amsterdam, Netherlands,  January 9th in 1988, right in time for the newly released single “Burn out”.
Since that, The Lennerockers never got tired of touring what
lead them  through about all together 20 nations including Russia, Finland, Spain, Italy etc.
In November 1988 began another new chapter in the band history by backing up other artists, starting with the brave Sandy Ford (“Flying Saucers”). This 3-day-mini-tour was just the beginning of a long row of artists to be supported by the band.
This tradition still continues today, no matter if The Lennerockers get booked internationally on festivals as a backing band for international artists beside their own show act or on their self promoted
events alike.
The driving force that keeps the
band going and the fans coming
after all those years is the love
of Rock‘n’Roll and the fun in
playing it, they just can’t hide -
always proving the motto that
"Rock‘n’Roll is still alive"
